Shipping within the UK
Orders are processed quickly within 24 - 48 hours during the week Monday-Friday and within 72 hours during busy periods, unless I am ill or on holiday or during adverse weather conditions and public holidays. If you place an order on Friday evening and over the week end, the order will be shipped at the beginning of the week as soon as the post office re-opens. Currently only offering standing shipping in the UK @£3.95 per order and via Royal Mail. I will try my best to get your parcels to you as quiickly as possible, and you order will be sent with Royal Mail Tracked 48 service and if your order is over £150, you will get a signed for service.
I try to process your order as quickly as possible and sometimes the stock may be incomplete or the dyelots are different, you will be notified by email and you can either proceed with the order, or I can substitute colours or you can cancel and receive a refund.
Orders over £150 excluding postage in value will be sent via Royal Mail with a signed for service, and you will receive a tracking reference which can be tracked via the Royal Mail website, this service requires a signature. Please check your sorting office to check if the postman tried to deliver, sometimes they do not leave a card, when they attempt to deliver. Goods are kept by the sorting office for 10 days and if not claimed, they will return to the sender.
Shipping to N.Ireland remains the same and treated as UK post.

I do ship to the EU and Worldwide via Royal Mail International Tracked and the VAT (UK value added tax 20%) will be removed from the total. Magazines and books are VAT exempt already. Delivery times vary and delays are expected due to the impact of COVID 19 restrictions on local services.
However, in countries where the local postal system is unreliable, I am able to arrange a trackable courier service DHL / Fedex / DPD or UPS, and I can liaise with the customer and agree on the shipping costs beforehand.
EU, EFTA and Worldwide - handling charges, customs and local taxes apply
EU destined orders are Delivered Duty Unpaid' (DDU). The customer is responsible for paying for local handling and import duties and local taxes, before they can receive the goods. Due to Brexit and changes to EU tax regulations, orders sent to the EU under 150 euros are no longer exempt from these charges, so please be prepared to pay these fees or else it will be returned. Be Inspired Fibres is not responsible for paying the recipient's local customs and taxes, if a parcel is returned because the recipient has refused to pay, the postage charges will not be refunded.
If for some reason you have changed your mind, and wish to make changes or to cancel your order, if possible please do so immediately, as I try to pack the orders as soon as they are received during the day and can add or change items only if they have not been posted or the postage has not been processed.
For immediate cancellations, you will get a refund minus some payment fees 2% incurred, which I am charged and cannot be recuperated.
Especially for oversea orders I tend to prepare the postage in advance of dropping them off at the post office and if the order postage has already been paid, I am afraid I am unable to refund the cost of postage.
Order cancellation by us
Be Inspired Fibres reserves the right to cancel the order if the product is out of stock and if Royal Mail does not deliver to your area and if an alternative courier company cannot be found.
This returns policy applies to online orders only, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org within 7 days, if you wish to return or to report a fault with the product. If you return your defective product within 14 days of discovering the fault, we will cover the cost of return.
Goods not as expected
If you have changed your mind after you have received the goods, you have 7 - 10 days to return, the buyer will be responsible for the cost of sending the package. Please let me know, if you wish to returm, so that I can look out for the returning package, please send the goods back in a re-saleable state, unfortunately, we are unable to accept returns if the original skein of wool has been wind into a ball.
Please obtain a proof of posting or use a Royal Mail signed for or tracked service when you are sending goods back, the refund will only apply to the original goods purchased and will not include the original shipping cost and minus the original card /payment processing fee up to £5.00.
The refund will appear on the credit or debit card or what ever method you made your original payment, normally within 5 - 10 days after tthe goods have been safely returned. Refunds via paypal are processed quicker.
Please plan carefully when purchasing, Be Inspired Fibres does not accept returns of excess or leftover balls of yarns after you have completed your project. Take into consideration that with hand dyed yarns, each skein is unique and that the colours may appear differently on mobile devices, ipads and on different computer screens and also in different light conditions. Make sure you purchase enough, as hand dyed yarns are also available on a limited bases and difficult to restock and subsequent dye lots on commercial yarns may differ.
Unforeseen product defects
All products are sent out in good faith, however, sometimes you may discover a fault after you've opened the package, please inspect your order and report the problem as soon as possible and send a picture if possible via email and we will try our best to either send a replacement or offer a refund and will closely liaise with you to sort out the problem and if you return your defective product within 14 days, we will cover the cost of return. Please make sure that the returned package is sent via signed for service.
Please note the following exceptions to our return and exchange policy:
- Discounted items are final and cannot be returned or exchanged
- Returned items must have no visible signs of use
- Hooks and Needles unless there are faults
- Books, magazines and journals may not be returned
- Gift cards or items purchased with gift cards cannot be refunded for cash
The refunded funds will appear on the credit or debit card or what ever method you made your original payment, within 7 - 10 days after the goods have been safely returned and the transaction processed.
Order Cancellations and Amendments
If for some reason, you have made a mistake and need to cancel or amend your order, please get in touch as soon as possible, I tend to process and pack the order immediately during the shop hours 10.00 - 15.00 and take the packages to the local post office at the end of the working day in person or first thing in the morning.
If you cancel the order and it has already been despatched, you will need to return the package yourself and pay for the return postage. I can only refund you once the package has been safely returned to me at 30 Marchmont Road, Edinburgh, EH9 1HZ and the goods are in their original condition and unused.
