It says on label that it can be washed on a gentle cold wool cycle on washing machine, but handwash is recommended and dry flat.
This is a beautiful wool suitable for a wide range of knitting and crochet projects and can be knitted / crocheted as a DK, Worsted, Aran and Chunky weights, depending on how firm or how drapey you want your fabric to look.
This wool is bouncy and soft, but not slippery like extra fine merino soft and amazingly looks good knitted with different needle sizes. It would make a great sweater yarn perfect for cables, plain stockinette and colourwork and is also excellent value for money.
The colour range provides a great background for experimentation if you enjoy holding with other lace weight fluffy yarns to create different colour nuances and textures.
Woolia can be knitted with different needles to provide the following gauge range 16-18 stitches / 10cm.
Needle size 6mm: 15m = 10cm, suitable for shawls, a plaid and other slightly loose knits.
Needle size 5½mm: 16m = 10cm Suitable for cables, Fair isle, gives a slightly loose knit.
Needle size 5mm: 17m = 10cm Suitable for garments that require a bit of drape.
Needle size 4.5mm: 18m = 10cm Suitable for durable garments
Needle size 4mm: 19m = 10cm, mostly for durable men's knitwear, cushions and other solid knitwear
Woolia can also be knit with a lace on needles 5-6mm to produce an extra warm garment and a bit of halo.
