The Herdwick breed of sheep is native to the Lake District region of the British Isles, it is a hardy sheep and its wool is very coarse, wiry and rough, fibres stick out, so not recommended for clothing and accessories. It is probably more suited for making coasters, pet cushions, carpets and rug making.
